How to create a Web Page Re-Direct > Contents

In some cases you will want to provide a link to another page in the system which appears in the drop down menu's or in the portlet sections. To do this you can use the 'page redirect' option which is available on the 'Elements & Tools' tab when in edit more.

To use page re-direct:

1. Make sure you have correctly selected the 'Page available by' location and 'main buttons' in the details tab.
2. Select the 'Elements & Tools' tab
3. Change 'Use page redirect' to 'yes' (the web page contents editor will disappear and be replaced by web page redirect options )

4. In the 'Web page redirects to' field, enter the relative URL path of the location that the link will re-direct to.
5. 'Place in center content area' is used if you wish the link to be automatically loaded in the center of the normal site frame work.
6. Use 'Redirect type' to determine if the link should open up a new browser window or replace the current window with the new content.
